Decoding the Devil (A guide to the brave new world)

Decoding the Devil
(A guide to the brave new world)

GDP – the amount of money the large transnational Companies earned last year in your country.

World Bank – an institution that ensures that the money-rich countries ‘lend’ to development projects is awarded in contracts to Multi-National Companies.

IMF – the institution responsible for overseeing the implementation of structural adjustments in the economies that haven’t gone through this painful process yet.

Structural Adjustment – as if it was taken out of a chiropractic manual, and this is what it is. Forcing governments to stop giving any freebies to the people (taking care of their own population) such as social projects, health and education, while ensuring an investment-friendly environment, for the Multi-National Companies, is created.

Investment friendly Environment – a country where human rights are disregarded, environmental concerns are overlooked and labour rights do not exist.

WTO – the Global gathering entrusted with ensuring that nothing stands in the way of opening all the world markets to the big cashed-up vultures.

Economic reforms – cleverly put, the same as the new buzzword ‘Austerity measures’. Basically removing the last hurdles that stand in the way of selling or handing over to the private sector, whatever some governments, still dare own. Such as water, electricity, education, prisons and health. At the same time insidiously, insisting the poor countries scrap any subsidies and protection the poor may have had. Removing whatever barriers stand in the way of Multi-National Companies taking over a local enterprise.

Austerity measures – one of the latest; more and more and more cuts to public spending, more welfare to banks and financial institution while cutting wages, pensions and any sense of well being to the populace.

The market – the invisible entity that rules the world and manipulates governments and individuals into submission through its powerful mechanism to create and manipulate events. The market is, in fact, a group of bankers, hedge fund managers and Multinational Companies who at any moment can destroy a currency, a local stock market, and the economy of a sovereign country by pressing a few buttons.

Tax reform – making sure everybody pays tax, even the poorest of the poor, through taxes such as VAT, GST, etc. At the same time lowering company taxes, eliminating taxes for the gamblers on the Wall St Casino and creating enough loopholes so, in reality, Multinational Companies do not pay taxes at all.

Freeing the labour market – Is effectively destruction of the unions.  Creating a reality where the working man/woman does not have a voice or representation while lowering minimum wages and discarding the notion of job security. The idea is that over time most of the workforce will be casual employment so everyone can be sacked at will, wages kept low and people begging for jobs.

A threat to national security – any homo sapiens that choose to think for him/herself and see beyond the veil. Anyone that dares go beyond the manufactured consent and claim the right to true freedom and equality.

Foreign investment – giant companies from rich countries buying successful companies in poor countries, due to favourable exchange rates. The other option is companies from rich countries setting up shop in poor countries where they have access to slave labour.

Mobile phone penetration – this one is a new one for me. Coined in India, I think, it’s about the effectiveness of the propaganda to convince the poor that gadgets come before food. You see people who have nothing to eat yet still carry a mobile phone.

Two party system – well, a far cry from being a democracy, it’s really a party. A political system designed to make us believe that we have a choice, when, in fact, we don’t!!! Slightly to the left or right, they end up doing exactly what their corporate masters instruct them to do.

***

This is not to bring you down. This is to empower, share and connect.
Once we are aware, we can make new choices and create the world we want.
Another world is possible - it’s time - !!!

GLOBALISE RESISTANCE

“There’s a plot in this country to enslave every man, woman, and child. Before I leave this high and noble office, I intend to expose this plot.”
Hey, no, these are not my own words - these are the words of the 35th US president John F Kennedy 7 days before he was assassinated in 1963.

Times have changed in the last 50 years since Kennedy’s assassination and the plot has thickened. Now they want to enslave every man, woman and child on planet earth. Their vision is that we all don the uniform and become obedient foot soldiers of our corporate masters.
In the last days people marched all over Europe, Slowly but surly the dissent against our global masters is gaining international momentum.

Now, without mincing my words with too much up to date jargon let us have a look at what is really happening in Europe.
Brothers and sisters, what is taking place is daylight robbery -  a corporate assault on the people in order to bring them and their government to total submission.
What the fuck is this talk of austerity measures. None of us are that stupid. Governments have trillions of dollars to bale out the banks but don’t have money to pay pensions?
Ha ha, what a joke, and the sad thing is that many still believe this insane fallacy.

Forget about governments, they don’t really matter anymore. Someone else is pulling the stings, and that someone wants the governments to cut all services to the people, so later on, they can offer these services for a fee. That someone, that faceless monster, wants the governments who haven’t done so yet – to sell our water, electricity, education...all of it – to the corporation. Their greed will stop at nothing and the only thing that will stop them is – us. Yes us, you and me, all of us together.
They want to own it all and control every facet of our lives, and we are saying NO, you can’t have us.
So, they are pushing us further and further into poverty, in order to make us beggars, thankful for the few crumbs they might throw our way to keep us alive.
We do live in a globalised world and what has been globalised is a form of modern slavery.
Now its time we change the equation and globalise our resistance, globalize the revolution, globalise our love and support each other wherever we are.
Globalising love and care for each other through our deeds and action will ensure that we create the world we really want to live in; a world of love, celebration, sharing and caring.
Another world is possible, and it’s time to make some real choices.

Stop the massacre – Palestinian children deserve to smile too!!!

I don’t usually do this. I don’t usually write about specific conflicts or wars taking place. I rather deal with the cause to the disharmony in the world rather then the symptoms.
Although this time I feel compelled to do so. Perhaps because I had a TV screen in my vicinity in the last few days, and have been exposed to the lies and manipulation of the mainstream media.
So cleverly they imprint images in our mind and make us see the world through the lenses they would like us to look through.
So - to the war in Gaza. Well for a start, how can we call it a war? Even in warfare there must be some element of fair play. Imagine two knights in the Middle Ages preparing for battle. One is fully covered with armour and holds a well-crafted sword while the other is naked and armed with a couple of stones in their hand. Surly the well-armed warrior would refuse to fight, since there is no honour in defeating a man armed with a couple of stones.
What is taking place is not a war, it’s a massacre, a genocide; the big boy bullying the weak one into submission, since he didn’t follow his orders.

And like the two Middle Age knights, Israel is armed with the most sophisticated arms in the world and home to one of the strongest armies on earth while the Palestinians fire a few home made rockets.

And this is where the media gets into the act. And yes, excuse me if by your perception I may be not ‘politically correct’.

The media, especially the one pretending to be balanced; paints a picture of rockets fired on both sides. On suffering on both sides. Well, of course there is suffering on both sides as well as loss of life, though look at the degree.
The Palestinians are firing rockets made in their backyard workshops. Perhaps all their rockets together do not equate to the amount of firepower carried by ONE Israeli warplane.
The Israelis assassinate the head of the Palestinian armed resistance, basically the head of their army. How would the Israelis react if the head of their army were assassinated?
Of course, in the mainstream media the Palestinians fighters are described as terrorist, murderers, while the Israelis as soldiers.
we must come to terms that this is all a matter of perception. For the Palestinian, their fighters are freedom fighters while the Israelis are terrorists.
When the Jews fought the British mandate in Palestine in the 1940’s, the British and western media described them as terrorist bands. Again, it al depends on who is looking and with what lens.

I hope that we are all aware that the Hamas government in the Gaza strip was democratically elected. Now it does not matter if I agree or disagree with Hamas politics - they are the legitimate representatives of their people.
Let us not forget that most of the people in Gaza are decedents of refugees fleeing their homeland in Israel in 1948. They lost their homes in 1948 and their homes are turning into rubble again. How many of us are aware that Gaza is a mere 365 square kilometers and is home to around 2 million people, mostly refugees. It is the most densely populated place on earth and probably one of the most depressing places to live in, a place where hope is a forgotten word.

So how come Israel can get away with this? Why is the media mostly painting a picture of a battle of good against evil, of a legitimate army against terrorist, of a peace loving people against warmongers.
Do you really believe for a moment that Palestinian mothers love their children more then Israelite ones?

So what makes this tick and why is the world allowing this to happen. Could it be the fact that the Jewish lobby in some countries is very strong and politicians are afraid to rock the boat? It’s up to you to come to whatever conclusion you want. What is clear is; that a massacre is talking place and it is openly, overtly and silently supported by most of the so-called developed world.
Tonight I would like to offer a prayer for the children who are lying in bed shivering in fear, crying while the bombs are falling. Whatever side of the fence these children are, by condoning this violence, we are initiating them into a world of fear, and sowing in their hearts the seeds of hated and mistrust.
Let us create another world for these children, a different world for the children worldwide, so they always go to sleep with a smile on their face. So they dream of elves and fairies, not of bombs and blood.
Another world is possible, she is on her way, though we have to stand up for her, we have to stand up for peace and their will never be peace without justice.
